Astronomy and Ecology Manual
The studies of Astronomy and Ecology are combined conveniently in a single curriculum manual for the NAMC upper elementary program. The students study the concrete realities and abstract concepts of astronomy, all in relation to humanity and its place in the universe. Topics include constellations, light years, astronomical tools, stars, the sun, the earth, the solar system, the moon, tides, eclipses, meteors, asteroids, comets, and space exploration. Through ecology, students study the relationships between living things and their environments. They explore the exciting topics of ecosystems and biodiversity in the context of the interconnectedness of all living things on earth, and they learn more about the balance and resilience this interconnectedness creates.
