Our family works full-time outside the home, and we have found NAMC’s Montessori 3-6 Homeschool Program easy to work with. The program covers all of the Montessori core subjects across three years, and we like that we can introduce our child to a concept at home and she can then work on the activities independently while at daycare. A lot of the work is self-correcting, which has built both confidence and independence in our child.

The Montessori work isolates the skills our child is learning, allowing us to see growth and to easily address gaps in her knowledge, which has made us more aware of her strengths and weaknesses. So aware, that we were able to recognize that our child was a good story memorizer but had trouble reading single words. When a local remedial reading teacher did not feel that our child had reading difficulties, we were able to use selected activities from the curriculum to demonstrate the accuracy of our assessment of our child's skill. Moments like that one confirm that this program was the right choice for us.

We plan on continuing to educate our child using the Montessori method and will order from NAMC’s selection of 6-12 manuals soon. We see that this curriculum really does teach children to do for themselves. There is a solid amount of time involved in preparing the materials, but the Blackline Masters are quite helpful, and most materials can be made at home with a printer and a glue stick. NAMC’s 3-6 Montessori Homeschool Program will help any family get started on the homeschool path - I am so glad we made this purchase!
