Montessori Diploma Program and Curriculum Testimonials

Thank you so much for providing this program. I know it does not include in-person training and that this can be frowned upon by other institutions. However, I think that making Montessori training (and any training, for that matter) accessible equally to people who cannot attend an in-person program is a gift of utmost value. Also, as in most areas in life, no matter how experiential and immersive the training, it is the day-to-day experience that teaches us how to put theory into practice. I am so very grateful for this opportunity, and I am overjoyed by the prospects that lie ahead.

My NAMC training has been an enriching, exciting, and intriguing experience. Every page of the manuals is filled with wisdom, practical applications, and insights.

I would like to thank you personally for your guidance, your kind and helpful guidance, and your contribution to my success.

The program material is fantastic and everything necessary to understand the method has been well laid out. I will treasure my NAMC manuals. The Infant/Toddler program gives you the tools and inspiration to be creative and understand the process of learning in a child’s life. Every manual can and should be used as a resource in the classroom every day as a way to enhance the learning environment and explore ideas.

I spent over a year looking for a Montessori training program of excellent quality and at an affordable price. After finding NAMC, I phoned around my hometown and other schools abroad and was pleased with the positive response toward NAMC’s diploma programs and my future as a Montessori Directress. During my first NAMC program I found my tutor to be very warm, kind-hearted, and supportive throughout my studies. This continued throughout as I decided to study four of NAMC’s diploma programs: 0–3, 3–6, 6–9, and 9–12 years. The NAMC staff is all wonderfully supportive. The programs themselves are excellent, and the curriculum manuals and resources are magnificent. NAMC offers a willingness to support anyone from all walks of life and any institution, and they provide a sense of belonging. I am very proud to be an Ambassador for NAMC.

The Infant/Toddler program is well coordinated to help a new teacher like me find the confidence to set up my environment and work with the children who will come through our program. I have learned to be a support for the parents and also to set up my classroom environment so that it is inviting to the young toddler, offering him/her many opportunities to explore. I enjoyed the entire NAMC curriculum - thank you to all who helped put this together. I appreciated having a personal tutor, and I am so thankful for all her help and dedication.

The Montessori Training Program offered by NAMC will not disappoint you! The materials that you will receive are of the highest quality. The manuals are well structured and easy to follow; this is very suitable for the student who is not a native speaker of English. The program is interesting and challenging at the same time. A student doing any of the NAMC programs is going to find this a most enjoyable journey of learning. Customer support is always available so that a student or an administrator does not feel that they are on their own. NAMC is committed to making sure the students who take the course succeed. Thanks to the NAMC team for making Montessori teacher training accessible to the remote regions of the world.

We keep the manuals handy in the classroom so they are always available when we need them. I enjoyed the Infant/Toddler program. In New Zealand an infants and toddlers Montessori teacher training program is not available, and there are very few infant and toddler classes/schools. We were one of the first ones in our area to set up an infants and toddlers room to complement the 3–6 room, so NAMC’s program was very helpful. It assisted us in developing an understanding of Montessori education for the youngest age grouping and refining the presentation process, as well as providing lots of ideas for integrating the method into our classroom.

Everything exceeded my expectations; my tutor was great and the material is very well designed. When my son was young, I began researching different philosophies and I found that Maria Montessori’s work aligns with my core values and beliefs. Learning the Montessori concepts has put things into context for me. I found great pleasure working with my son and watching him grow into a happy, secure, and independent child. My studies with NAMC have provided me with more than 100 activities that will help my son develop his cognitive, motor, social, language, practical life, and sensory skills. I have also learned how to extend those activities further according to his individual needs and interests. I have already recommended NAMC to many others who have shown an interest in learning and applying Montessori in depth.

NAMC’s Montessori Diploma Program helped me develop a high degree of self-confidence and enthusiasm for guiding, preparing, organizing, teaching, and learning. The program has helped me “learn how to learn” and showed me in detail how I can, in turn, help a young child to “learn how to learn.” A big thank you to the great tutors, staff, and administration — all of you are awesome at being on top of things and making it possible for me to graduate with such high marks. I have no words to describe what it means to me. With my Montessori diploma, ECE, CYC (Child and Youth Care Education), and music education, I feel like I could now go for my Master or PhD of Education. Wow! I never imagined that I would be able to achieve my educational goals as a mature student. It was the greatest pleasure to study this wonderful program. Thank you!

I really feel like I was being taken care of, and that someone really cared about my education. I have learned so much and was already offered a lead position for next year! I want to thank NAMC for their affordable, flexible, well put together Montessori distance education programs for teachers. I found everything I needed in my NAMC manuals, detailed emails with instructions, reminders, and the NAMC website. Everything from day one was smooth sailing – NAMC could not have made it any easier. My correspondence was always answered within a day or two, with quick, courteous, and knowledgeable responses. I really enjoyed the one-on-one tutor program. I always received very detailed and positive feedback from my NAMC tutor. I was extremely pleased with the program! If it were not for this program I may have never been able to get my Montessori 3–6 certification. NAMC was the only training program within my price range, and also the only program I could fit into my busy schedule as a full-time Montessori Assistant Teacher. The information in the program is just as well put together and in-depth as any other Montessori college. All the teachers at my school told me how much of a difference they could see as I went on through the year. I felt different as well — so much more confidence in myself and in my ability to work with children. The tutoring included with the program is so incredible. I have nothing but fabulous things to say about NAMC. Thank you again!

I found NAMC’s Preschool/Kindergarten (3-6) diploma program to be outstanding. Both its structure and content are very well articulated and relevant for real-life situations that, as a teacher, I face almost every day when communicating with and guiding young children. The NAMC Lower Elementary program was awesome. I learned things that I never learned as a child. It's marvelous to know that the Montessori Method is designed to work with all children, and it maximizes each child's potential. My tutor was wonderful. She provided prompt feedback and evaluation of my coursework. She answered my questions thoroughly and offered her support. I loved her kind comments and encouragement! She even said that I could contact her in the future if needed. Now, that's an amazing tutor!

I loved the manuals. They were very easy to follow and comprehend. My students wanted to look at them as well. They were excited to see what lessons would be coming in the future and even selected some that they were interested in. Your program is simply first class. I'm a full-time college student and a full-time teacher as well. It was great being able to work at my own pace. I wouldn't have been able to take this course, but because it was distance training, I was able to.

I found the Lower Elementary program to be flexible and informative. I feel I learned more during this program about the structure and curriculum in a classroom than I did during my Masters and Teacher Credential program. I wish I would have completed this program before teaching my own classroom, but being a current Montessori classroom teacher did help my overall understanding of the terms and activities. The binders are set up in a user-friendly format and provide invaluable activities that can be incorporated into the classroom immediately. My tutor was incredible and supportive during the program. She provided immediate, knowledgeable feedback in a friendly, supportive, and encouraging way. I would definitely recommend this program to other teachers!

The NAMC program was perfect for my needs. I am primary trained but I worked as a Lower Elementary assistant for 4 years. As a mother, wife, and Montessori assistant, my time is limited. The NAMC program made it possible for me to study at my own schedule. The manuals are well organized, enriched, and succinct. My personal NAMC tutor was always available and helpful. If it hadn't been for this program's flexible schedule, first-class materials, and personal tutor, I would not have been able to take my Montessori training. The program format is well thought out and presented very logically. The assignments were enough to help me understand the lesson without feeling bogged down with lengthy papers, projects, or material-making like some other programs. The NAMC program is perfect.

Studying my Lower Elementary Montessori diploma with NAMC was a wonderful experience! I learned so much; and I will definitely be a better Montessori teacher. The manuals are well organized and easy to use. The language is simple and clearly understood, which is important to students when English is their second language. All my life I had problems with mathematics, but now everything makes sense; there is logic in math! I am even having fun preparing the activities. They are so detailed and well explained. I am amazed by NAMC’s dedication, accuracy, and kindness.

I was astonished reading the History manual; it is so creative, and like a real time machine—my children and I travelled to the ancient times, to outer space…it was amazing.

I do not have a single criticism. I do not think there is a better curriculum, and I cannot wait to apply it in the classroom. In the name of all the children who are going to benefit from my knowledge, thank you. I am proud to be a graduate of NAMC’s program.

NAMC’s training is offered in a way that made it possible for me to effectively learn the Montessori methods and materials, while still being able to work and take care of my everyday life responsibilities. I loved the whole experience with NAMC! My superintendent, who is a huge proponent of Montessori education, suggested I look into getting trained as a Montessori teacher for our new Montessori Charter School. I looked at many, many options. Living in northern and very rural Wisconsin, there are no training centers close to me. That was a big issue due to the fact that I in no way could, in good conscience, leave my family for weeks and weeks at a time to do the traditional on-site training. Then I found NAMC — it was the perfect format for our needs. The training I received from NAMC made me feel very confident that I was going to be able to implement the methods and materials as I had seen in the classrooms I visited. I can confidently talk with other Montessori teachers from around the nation and I have never felt as though I missed out on something in my training. My mentor was fantastic, extremely helpful, and incredibly insightful. It's clear the people at NAMC want you to succeed and have a successful classroom. I thank NAMC, and my superintendent, for rejuvenating my teaching career.

I appreciate that NAMC makes Montessori elementary manuals available to anyone who is motivated to be a Montessori teacher, anywhere in the world. In my case, there is not even one teacher training center close to where I live. I have two young children at home and a full-time job, so having this option is very beneficial.

Reading through each of the NAMC manuals was an eye-opening experience. The manuals are clearly written so that even non-native English speakers like myself can easily understand them. Each lesson includes the preparation, step-by-step process, and multiple extension examples. For lower elementary, the Classroom Guide and Five Great Lessons | Cosmic Education & Peace manuals are the first two manuals that I would recommend to everyone who wants to be Montessori elementary teacher. I especially appreciate the detailed timetable for the first day of the school year. I come back and read these pages every year.

The curriculum support materials on CD are extremely useful, and time saving for new teachers who are starting a new classroom. The Math demonstration videos on DVD are also very helpful when reading through Math 1 manual. Not only you can visually see the presentation, you can understand the tone and speed to use when guiding your students.

I am a French Montessori AMI assistant teacher and I have chosen to homeschool my son using the Montessori philosophy since his childhood. I decided to purchase the NAMC Upper Elementary curriculum to offer my son the variety of topics a child at this stage of development would be interested in.

I find the NAMC manuals to be clear and easy to use. The background information before the activities is a great help for the general understanding of the topic. The activities are from the simplest to more difficult, which respects the Montessori approach of learning. I appreciate the extensions of activities, the very well-chosen pictures, and all the notes for the teachers.

The NAMC manuals are a must have for any Montessori homeschooler. It gives the child the chance to develop through a Montessori path, in harmony, and to understand the whole world and its wonder ... as a citizen of the world my son will become a responsible, social, creative individual.

I am also often inspired by the NAMC blog and their deep understanding of Montessori and the child.

I chose to homeschool my 3 children using the Montessori approach, and I found there are many different options for Montessori resources. It is only with NAMC that I found everything I need in very comprehensive packages in one place. Their manuals have a very clear format with essential information and beautiful images. I especially appreciate the extension activities proposed at the end of each lesson. The material and lesson suggestions are very flexible and allow me to adapt to the needs of each of my children with their different ages and learning styles, including my son with Down syndrome who benefits greatly from the Montessori approach. With NAMC materials I have found what I need to create a vision and lead my children on their educational journey. In addition, the staff at NAMC is very professional and friendly to work with. I received my manuals a month before Christmas and put them to use right away. I created materials for my toddler as Christmas gifts for him; all of which he loved! At two years old, his fine motor skills, language skills, and self-confidence have amazed everyone, including our doctor. I owe it all to the Montessori method, which we have used since he was an infant. I couldn't have gone on this journey without help from NAMC! From their manuals to their customer service, they are amazing! Someone is always there to help with any questions and the support is incredible. I look forward to continuing my journey as we move into the 3–6 Homeschool Program, and thanks again for your help!

We have enjoyed implementing NAMC's extensive curriculum in our home, especially the math, language arts lessons, and science binders. I have found the lessons to be clearly presented, and the curriculum support materials provide amazing resources that the children and I look forward to using. We have made several booklets with the nomenclature cards as part of our science studies so far. I am looking forward to spending more time studying up on and preparing resources from the other binders this summer.
